The Pelican 0340 case was the first and is currently the smallest cube case made by Pelican Products. The Pelican 0340 case has two large fold down handles on either side so that two people can easily carry it around. Also included with the Pelican 0340 case are a a set of caster wheels that attach to the bottom. If you choose to use them, a handle on top of the 0340 case folds out so the case can be wheeled around by one person. The Pelican 0340 case is made to make your life easier.

Pelican 0340 Case is watertight, dustproof and crushproof.

The Pelican 0340 case had 6 double throw latches (2 on each side) to give it a tight seal. So tight in fact the Pelican 0340 case is fully watertight to the point where it can be submerged without water penetration. The automatic purge valve on the front of the 0340 case allows air to move freely in and out. This makes opening the Pelican 0340 case easy in higher altitudes. Another feature you may notice on the Pelican 0340 case are the large ribs on the front. These ribs protect the latches from hard hits when in transit and also provide structural support to the Pelican 0340 case itself.
